Hello family & friends -
Spring is here and the Morgan clan couldn't be happier about it. We've engaged in a lot of fun activities lately and are looking forward to a fun-filled summer.
On a sad note, my great uncle, Bob (Robert) Miller, passed away at the age of 96 - he lived a full life and was the last remaining sibling of my paternal grandma Emma. He was quite a character that has a place in a lot of my childhood memories of Circle Hot Springs and too many family functions to count.
Pre-Easter Activities
Rory, Massie and I visited Heather and Harper for some Easter decorating activities several weeks ago. Here are the little ones posing for the camera - Massie's not sure that she wants to take her eyes off little Harper.
One of the Easter crafts that Heather came up with was the "jelly bean tree" - here are the girls posing with their creations (Massie is asking me with her eyes if she can eat a jelly bean).
4th Annual Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt
Each year brings a larger crowd to our neighborhood hunt - this picture was taken as folks started to congregate. We had fabulous weather for the event and fun was had by all!
I tried to get out in front of the egg hunters when the whistle went off for a picture but I nearly got run over...look at the expression on these kids' faces.
Here I am with Heather Lambert - friend, fellow WWWW member and fellow Easter egg hunt organizer.
Although tons of neighborhood kids got to enjoy the hunt, my own two girls couldn't be found in the masses. While setting up for the hunt Rory started to feel ill - within the next hour her hair was being held back by grandma Judy. Poor thing. This is how I found her after the hunt.
Massie didn't want to be left out of the action happening at the grandparent's house. Here she is helping granddad Andy clean the Harley while Rory sleeps off her sickness.
Later that day Rory rallied and was able to get some eggs colored for the Easter Bunny to hide the next day.
Easter Day
Grandma Judy and Granddad Andy came over on Easter morning to partake in the Easter loot.
The Easter Bunny left lots of great stuff for the kids. Here they are modeling their new tennis outfits, Massie's new boots (from Easter Bunny Grandma Linda) and Rory's new fishing pole.
Grandma Karen and Grandpa Sid spoil us every Easter with sweets from Williams and Sonoma. Below is Massie about ready to gobble up the little chick.
Before dinner we brought the new fishing poles to the grandparents house to test them out in water. Granddad even got into the spirit of things.
Massie decided that the water looked too inviting not to jump in.
Other Non-Easter Activities
The girls are getting much more comfortable on the ice - here are pictures from our most recent outing.
Renee was in town for work and was able to stop by for dinner and a nice visit.
During Renee's visit Rory tied her first bow tie on my hoodie - here we are with proof of her new found skill.
As mentioned on the last blog, Yuri and I have both been out of town for work a lot lately so the girls get to hang out with their grandparents. In addition to taking care of my two munchkins they already have seven dogs to look after. Obviously the girls got to be too much to handle and they got tucked away with some of the misbehaving pups.
Sunglasses are a must while eating as we don't have window coverings on our kitchen window.
It was a little early for puddle hopping. This picture was taken only two weeks ago and already this snow has already disappeared.
Spring is here!

Girls night at the local Mexican joint.
And finally...my little ballerina.
Happy Spring to all!
